The horizontal mortice locks in this section are used to replace the old Victorian locks fitted on older properties. They provide a deeper fixing for the handle on large doors which looks more aesthetically pleasing than if the handle was fitted too close to the door frame. Our range of horizontal mortice locks are built from 3 or 5 lever designs intended for internal door use (as they would not meet insurance approved standards). Horizontal locks are therefore both practical and stylish.
